Lot of rumors going around, but it seems like intel is having a few issues, either its gonna be delayed or they are talking about removing some of the features but releasing it on time.
We have to wait and see. Ivy bridge can come out whenever in 2012 it wants. Edited by DST4ME - 18 Jul 2011 at 2:04pm |

January 2012 should line the Sandy Bridge E up perfectly with Nvidia's 28nm Kepler GPUs.
Now, I'm assuming that TSMC will reasonably encounter a few issues in ramping up their 28nm production node like they did with the 40nm node, which would likely push back any AMD and Nivdia 28nm GPUs from the rumored late-Q4/December release over to January or maybe February at the latest. January/February will be a good month - new, fast high-end Intel chips combined with nice, fast, and efficient Kepler GPUs. Too bad the Sandy Bridge E's won't get the tri-planar transistor gate technology that the Ivy Bridge chips are supposed to get, but oh well, there's always Haswell. :-) |

We have not heard of any delays. It may just be a rumor.

i was waiting to build my system until the sandy bridge E comes out, but i guess that goes right out the window as the system was being built to play games like bf3 and mw3 when they first come out...

Well Alex said they have not heard anything yet, so lets see what happens.
Haswell seems to be more concentrated on teh gpu side of the platform. but at least they will be 8 core from the start. |

Based on the original, leaked information from Intel, it should still be scheduled for Q4. - Engadget Article

We have to wait and see if we get the pci 3.0 and the other stuff with the models that come out in Q4, if they still do.
Am I missing something or is that engadget article from april? |

Correct, that article was back from April.
It seems like everyone 'in-the-know' is keeping hush-hush. Guess we'll have to all wait and see how things unfold. |
