Hello Everyone,
Like most here, I am shopping for a new PC and decided that DS is the best option. I would greatly appreciate any help to get me to the best build to fit my needs. Crowd sourcing at its best. Budget: $3000 Expectations: I am looking for a solid machine with scalability. For instance while I may only have one display now, I want to eventually get to multiple monitors, and the same can be said about video cards and the like. The 3k budget includes the need to purchase a monitor. Usage: Graphic intensive gaming, video capture during gameplay, video editing, and general work related activities (programming, documentation). Other Comments: While the option priced out below is the Hailstorm, I also really like the Syndicate, I just couldn't find a way to get the components I wanted in the Syndicate without going over the budget. Also: -I didn't add an SSD in this configuration. (I will probably regret that) -I am not sure which monitor to go with. -I went with the 3d monitor bundle because it looked like a good value, I have no real need for 3D though, just a nice to have. Syndicate is cramped I would not recommend it for either air for full lc. if you are adding another monitor, are you planing on gaming on both or still just one monitor? |

DST4ME,
Thanks for the advice on the monitor and the config. Once I have two monitors I will still only use one for gaming. Do you have any experience with the noise damping material? Do you think it would affect airflow at all? Thank you, Ian |

its pointless, it get rid of at best 10% but you trap noise and you trap heat.
if noise is an issue go with noctua over the a70 for the cpu but 90% of your noise will come from gpu's fans when under load, the only way to deal with that is to put the gpu under lc. to max out most games with the monitor I mentioned, the config I gave you is what you need, I'll put it this way, if this config can't do it, there is no other dual sli that can. |
