Budget:
1,500 - 2000(MAX)

Expectations:
I expect this computer to be fast, non-laggy, have about 8 gigs of ram and to be well fit for my budget!

Usage:
I will be using this computer to play a lot of video games such as minecraft, Magicka, L4D, Tf2 and all sorts whilst also recording them such as gameplays. I will also use it for editing my videos and uploading, of course also you'r casual stroll down the facebook and such.

Special Needs:
I would like the computer to be quiet, yet fast, big or small don't really care but I want it to work really well!
Extra:
Please edit around with my saved order to remove unecessary components that won't improve the performance (The monitor, keyboard, and mouse is something I need for the pc so please don't remove that) And please help me with the PC because I don't know much about pc's :C
Thanks :D

It looks like a really good PC! I guess the one I tried to make was pretty bad then huh? Hmm, I also want a good monitor any suggestions? Also would it be a good idea if I overclocked the graphics card and processor and the OS I would like to get the maximum performance out of this. Also I don't have that great of an   internet connection, but it's fine will some tweaks to a special motherboard or internet chip be of help? Please reply A.S.A.P

I guess it's a good build! Will it be able to play games and record them with video-recording software smoothly? If so thankyou so much! if not is there a tweak I can make to help it do so? Oh and for the monitor I'm thinking on getting this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2382643&SRCCODE=WEBGOO0163C&cm_mmc_o=mH4CjC7BBTkwCjCECjCE&gclid=CJSAs8uz0rECFQHDtgodzTUAQg
I need one with 2 HDMI's so I can plug in my consoles to it too! I guess that's the cheapest price I found but it relatively fits my budget well! So yeah I thankyou for the help but please reply for the other questions!

Any changes to the prebuilt's hardware is going to cost an extra $50, + the cost of the new part. It's usually just best to take them as is (they're hard to beat for single card solutions anyway). So if you're going the ODE route, I'd leave it as is. Also, the games you list arent especially taxing, so you should be able to play + FRAPS no problem

No piece of hardware is going to improve a crappy internet connection, i found this week. Just moved into a new apartment with global wifi and the 'recommended' hardware gets worse internet service than my kindle fire and the $20 usb wifi adapter on amazon. They gave me my $100 back.

Don't forget you can always call DS and they will help you with the process - they'll help you get what you need - they do not care about just "getting another PC out the door."

Yes thankyou for the help, I have spoken with DS and it was a great of a help! He helped me actually "see" that the ODE has enough power for my needs, and I am thankful! I look forward to buying the ODE!

Yes thank's for the suggestion, do you reccomend a monitor? or know of one with HDMI, and the video source the PC has? I have been looking for one like that for a while now

My budget was similar to yours (~1.7k), also I was also considering the ODE.

Lots of folks recommended the Dell U2312HM. I got it and love it! I ended up not getting the ODE but mainly due to case style and random personal preferences nothing that was a real con.

The monitor looks and works great. Only suggestion I would make is not to bother installing the extra power saver program on the cd dell included as it doesn't help (monitor has pretty good power saving settings normally) and sometimes hurts.

It was on sale for 230 with free shipping online when I bought it a few weeks ago, which based on my research was a good deal!

I use the DVI connection for the monitor but the gtx 670 (in the standard ODE lvl 1 and what i got in mine) has also got a display port and hdmi output too.

Yeah frank that looks like a really good build but the pricing is my problem... I have been told by my father that I may only be able to spend 1500-1800 I have been saving up for a PC for quite a while now, such as not recieving gifts or birthday presents and I doubt I'll get anything for christmas as well, but I guess it'll all be worth it in the end!

What's the website where you got your monitor? And does it have an HDMI Input? and a Source button? I will be using the monitor for consoles and for the PC

As for the comp specs, I am not the person to talk to. But I have been doing research for myself about the accessories, being the monitor, mouse, keyboard and speakers. First off, the monitor. I have looked around everywhere and it all came back to the Dell Ultrasharp. You can get it from a 21.5" to a 30" and it seems to be a very popular one on the forums and an overall great monitor. As for the mouse, I have done a lot of research on this too, and the mouse I plan to get is the Razer Deathadder. It is a great overall mouse for FPS games, but if you wanted a mouse for MMO/RPG gaming purposes, the Roccat Kone+ or the Razer Naga seem to be a good choice. They have many configurable options for macros that the DA does not. The keyboard I am planning on getting is the Steel Series 6gv2. I have heard great things about it and it's simple design and mechanical keys were appealing to me. If you decide not to go with this, the Razer Blackwidow keyboards are the next best bet. I'm sure that many arguments can be made about which one rules over the other, but after looking over some reviews, I preferred the 6gv2 more. And lastly, the speakers. I found probably the cheapest set of speakers you can get that have an ok quality. They won't be full surround sound maxed out super quality speakers. But they only cost $25 for a 2.1 setup. So that'ts two front speakers and a sub woofer underneath. Hope I helped and make sure to look on sites like amazon and newegg for these (cheaper than DS).

                                                                -Jared

I bought it from battery juice via ebay (looks like the price went up a bit but shipping is still free):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-DELL-U2312HM-WS-LED-LCD-FP-Monitor-3-Year-Warranty-U2312M-U2311H-/150788390836?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item231bb03fb4#ht_3493wt_904

Here are the specs:

It doesn't have HDMI, I could be wrong as this is a guess but it could be that only monitors with built in speakers would have hdmi as that carries audio too? Maybe look at small tvs instead of larger monitors if you want hdmi? I am not sure of all the trade-offs that would imply as I have a tv and a monitor...
