What's the difference between the 780ti and 780?

Both cards are based on the same gpu chip, the GK110, but the 780 uses 12 of its 15 SMX units and the 780ti uses all 15 SMX units manufactured into the chip . Being fully enabled, the 780 ti has many more steaming and texture mapping units, giving it a 20-25% faster advantage over the 780.
It also has a faster memory clock. Bottom line, the 780ti is about 20% , game depend, better than 780. Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 10 Feb 2014 at 2:15pm |

Here is a good review with benchmarks for both the 780 and 780 Ti: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx-780-ti-review

Looks like a solid build. Only change I'd make is the SSD to the Samsung 840Pro - most of us here would choose that over the Corsair. Faster & more reliable (and it's $7 less expensive!). You can select it if you go under EXPERT mode when choosing your components.
Also, don't forget your FREE DS shirt!! Edited by fstcvc - 10 Feb 2014 at 6:23pm |
