Topic: Vanquish questions Posted: 17 Mar 2016 at 12:13pm |
I have one of the older models of the Vanquish series, and was curious about cleaning out the front fan, I've noticed it seems there is dust collector type of thing on the front (Behind where the Digital Storm logo is) But I haven't figured out on how to get that dust collector out, or how to clean it out properly.
Anyone with this model of the Vanquish series have any advice for me? Here's a picture I found online of the model I have. |

If that's the Corsair 300r, I believe you just grab the bottom of the front panel and pull the panel off. That gets you to the fan and filter. The filter can be blown out without bending the tabs to remove it. What looks like screw heads on the panel I believe are just cosmetic.
Hope that's it. |

If it's the 230T Corsair case, run a search here. There are a few front fascia posts about that model.

Anybody know how to get the front face off of the Vanquish 4 to clean the filter? I can't seem to figure it out.

Remove the right and left side panels. There are 3 tabs on either side you need to push in to release the front panel. The top tabs can be tough to get at. Some push those first. Some have found removing the optical drive necessary.

looks like a coolermaster case to me. not sure which model. perhaps this one: you see those 4 outside screws on the front fascia? unscrew those and you should be able to pop off the front fascia and get to the front intake fans for cleaning. the inner 4 screws on the front fascia look like they hold that perforated grill in place. you can unscrew those once you have the front fascia off and then all you need to do is wash it off in water or use a vacuum hose to remove the dust.
nvm, it's a Corsair Carbide 300R case, doh watch this vid for how to remove the front fascia and pop out the dust filters for cleaning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJKIO-a-GOU Edited by db188 - 01 Apr 2016 at 8:31pm |

It is holding up great and has giving me zero problems. I have to say the vanquish is a very solid computer. I plan to upgrade to a 980ti soon but that is the only upgrade I am planning right now. I was sad when they brought the i7 to the vanquish 5. |
