Day Purchased July 29, 2016
Budget: 3500$ Expectations: I am really hoping with the few reviews on this AiO PC it will meet all me expectations when I get it. I tried to purchase from another gaming PC Website and had a terrible TERRIBLE experience. I have read many reviews and even a good friend recommended DS. Super stoked! Usage: Mostly for gaming but will be using it for school and work as well. Hopefully one day I will use this computer full time for a future job! I am an EMT and hopefully one day something more with computers as well. Come with me on this experience as I wait and get constant updates on the testing and building of this machine! Once I receive the Aura I will do an extensive video on all the great details and upload it right away so there can be more reviews and videos on this machine. I'm sure there will be quite a few people to criticize me on purchasing this item and not purchasing an actual desktop computer and spending less and not worrying about heat and other things with the Aura. After doing much research with everything that I wanted out of a gaming PC this came the closest to actually meeting all of my expectations and needs. Also it came in at a better price for an Ultra wide and all of the necessary hardware inside. I have all of my peripherals purchased (mostly corsair) that I will post in a YouTube video later on. Awesome! Welcome to the family, the AURA is one hell of a gaming PC, I've been eyeing that one for myself for a while now.

Congratulations. I'm sure you meant that you reached Stage1 on July 1* and not August 31. Welcome, can't wait for the review.

Welcome to the DS family!
You gotta know the Aura is one heck of a machine if Alex himself is wanting one. This is the guy that could have a server room full of Aventum "4"s... Makes me think I may have to look that direction for my next rig as well. |

Who needs VR?! Just sit really close to that giant 34 inch screen! 10 Years ago a rig like that never would have been upgradeable. We've come so far since the Skittles-colored iMacs Congrats!

How do you like your Aura?
Also, how did you get 32GB Ram? The config tool doesn't provide that as an option. |

@BIGxOZ Congrats
@josh134, 16GB is more then enough to future proof your system for gaming. Otherwise right now all you need is 8GB to be good to go. |

How do you like your Aura? Can you post a review and some pics? I don't see any user reviews of the Aura on the DS forums.
My current DS Hailstorm is 7-8 years old. It has served me well and I am thinking of getting an Aura within the next few months. |

I have the old hailstorm also, don't make the mistake of comparing hailstorm to aura, aura is closed and can't do too well with heat, the hailstorm is a full tower with load of airflow and heat is no issue for it. |

Yeah I understand. I don't game nearly as much as I used to but still play a few things here and there. I know I want an ultra wide monitor and I am also looking at the Aura because of the clean set up. |

I understand I'm just making sure you are clear that this may not be able to do the things hailstorm did. Otherwise to each his own

I'm with ya. Surely it is fine for occasional gaming sessions. I just don't have near as much time to game as I used to. I may play something once or twice a week for a few hours.
I'm really wanting a 34" ultra wide monitor but don't really want to purchase a monitor and a system that will run it. I' looking to spend about 3k. |

As far as wide or ultra wide monitor goes, you are preaching to the choir. However with the new 4k IPS 144Hz monitor coming out, I'm waiting for those. 2017 is gonna be the year of 4K IMHO based on all the 4k monitors coming out.
To each his own, just keep in mind in aio you gain something and you sacrifice somethings. good luck Edited by DST4ME - 08 Oct 2016 at 5:46pm |
