Topic: Sound Cutting Out question Posted: 22 Sep 2016 at 12:52am |
My sound cuts out once in a while for a few seconds, been doing it since I got the computer. I've never had an issue with these speakers. The realtek software kept popping up saying the cord was unplugged when it wasn't so I turned off the notifications but the sound still cuts out. I tried to download drivers but it says none available. I figure its a windows 10 thing. Any fixes for this?

There should be Realtek drivers on the motherboard website to try.
If it says it's unplugging then it could be the port itself. Sometimes pushing the audio plug into and out of the port several times will clear it up. A long shot but worth a shot. Try the front port on the case. You could go into Device Manager, right click the Realtek driver, uninstall, reboot and let OS reinstall a driver. Doesn't sound like a driver problem, however. Hardware, either your cable or the port is my guess with that message. |

To add to what bp said, check your wires and make sure they are all seated correctly.
