hi ds it turns out my mombo is bad and they are replacing it. ds doesnt carry the 790i board anymore . I suggested the evga equilant. Is that the one ds carrys now? I dont want a step down. What board should I ask for a triple sli gtx280 system?

well hopefully not but by now I'm sure you have learned that all these mobos, rams, GPUs, can turn it out to be a pain.
luckily we deal with DS which worst case scenario, got us covered |

what is the difference in the one you suggested and the same board with digital pwm? I didnt know that evga made an even better version of that board because thats the one I was thinking of.

I was referring to the pwm, that one is the latest ftw edition out.
it has better voltage stability and efficiency and new improved bios, should OC well. aren't they giving you the pwm model? |

DS has that version listed but Duke called and said it was the previous version so I had him order it and I advised DS to remove it from the configurator because they dont carry the digital pwn version so they shouldnt call it that.

Well good thing you caught it not a huge difference between the two tho, but I would say the pwn would be the equivalent of the xfx you had.

They do carry the PWM verison or they did. I got them to special order one for me and the decided to order extra and start carrying the pwm version. I had probs with the xfx also and take it from me you will love the pwm board. All my probs went away after duke installed that mobo for me!!
