Topic: EVGA GTX295 Back-Plate Posted: 11 Feb 2009 at 5:45pm |
Hey folks I ordered the cooling back-plate for the EVGA GTX295 GPU. Not much to them a thermo pad and a thin alum. blk plate with a EVGA Logo on it. New screws with springs attacted to each screw (13 of them). It kinda encapsulates the card. I brought two in case I need them or they run short. Anyone know of real good deals on the EVGA GTX295, I need two of them?

they are all around the same price as far as I can tell.
those backplates look nice, I've been seriously considering them myself, 10 degrees is 10 degrees for $20 bucks its well worth it IMO |

I will be getting it, the only thing is I hope it does not void the warranty or anything.

that might be a possibility, my system is already being late cause Mr.RAM decided it did not want to play nice and throw a tantrum. Maybe I will call tomorrow and ask them if they can do so and how much it would cost me if they did it. Thanks for the idea. O BTW you are helping me OC my GPUs when it gets here

Hey Samael, I'm waiting for the x-58 Classified MOBO so I still a bit away from ordering my PC. I have two plates if you need them and DS doesn't have them I could deliver them to DS (hehe as long as they let me take a tour hehe) Then you could buy me two...Total price for me with shipping and CA tax $50.01, $19.95 each. I got them because I know when you go to buy them they will be hard to get I bet! (Maybe not who knows). Any way I guess I'm dreaming to get an inside tour of the place! They are picky!!!!!

Thanks for the offer Richsi haha. I will see what I can do. Most likely I will just buy them here in Canada, and from the looks of things it should be a breeze to install. bahh i can't wait for my system.
And DST, yes I went with the EVGA X58, I wish I could have gone with the Classified version though. And after talking to you I went from the 6GBs Corsair 1600MHz to 6GBs OCZ 1866Mhz. They replaced the RAMs, they are just trying to get the system stable at this point from what Sarah told me. |

Sarah also said no OC has been done at all, I guess they were just bad memory modules or something, I just hope it gets here ok, let all its tantrums and behavioral problems end there

Its being shipped to NY where my brother will pick it up. I recently moved to Canada its been a year and a half, before that spent two years going to University of Southern California in LA. Never made it to San Jose, went to SF and San Diego. And I am guessing the San Jose Sharks are a Hockey team??? I don't watch NHL at all, my cousin here loves it but I guess it is something that you have to grow up with(just like my fave sport cricket), I absolutely love football though, follow the NCAA more than the NFL.

Samael, I have been to Canada a couple of times. I went to Barrie, Ontario to install a computer graphic design system. I also spent a couple months in Missisauga near Toronto migrating an IBM data center to St. Louis via Token Ring. Edited by Onkel_Ken - 12 Feb 2009 at 9:56pm |
