I know there is the major popularity of the performance boosts over AMDs phenom. But for some reason I want to stick with top quality AMD + ATI products mainly because of the price tag. An i7 system to the customization I like is well over 7500 dollars without a 30 inch monitor /mouse and keyboard. This build here i believe is the lesser of two evils and it's still decent in my eyes....Tell me what yall think. I'm currently deployed for the next 9 months so I know I have time to watch what rolls out, but here is what I am thinking right now....

I want to keep the system price at most 6k... my limit because of Monitor/logitech mouse/keyboard n g35 headset. i7 would almost make this option cost close to ten grand...

Is there a reason you need the 4970x2 as opposed to maybe 3x275's (just buy the 3rd) You only need one 120GB SSD. put your OS and Games on it and your music movies and other storage on the 1TB You only need the CPU OC the rest we can show you how to do it. You chose UV fluid and you would need to have UV lighting. I'll post an i& build with similar stats. lets see the price differance. You dont need the NIC card. it wont make any differance. Going with amd is a pretty big mistake atm... Why slow down the rest of your components with an inferior processor? Even amd's top processors are no match for the i7 920... Let DST4ME help you with a config that you will be satisfied with...

@HarryJ, you have so much overkill and waste there that I don't even know where to begin.
mcafee sucks get nod32. not sure if your Surge Conditioner is right for your PSU, call DS and ask, but do you really need that? why vista ultimate and not premium? Tweak Windows = pointless and waste of money Boost Memory = pointless and waste of money, just ask for the fan for the ram instead. Boost Video Card = pointless and waste of money don't LC the GPU unless you know how to change the heatsink on them. Killer Xeno Pro = pointless and waste of money Optical Drive should be a writer/reader not just reader. Raid 2 vertex is also waste of money, there are many SSDs coming out with better price and speed the 1050si is the most expensive case and the worst case as far as performance. this system will eat your system for snack: quad sli 295 gtx system with i7 965: here you go Ticket# 273547 --- Price: $5920 (To see this build click here) Price after current promotion $5845 Copy of Specifications: Chassis Model: Cooler Master HAF 932 Exterior Finish: - Wow...So it looks like I did do massive overkill. I appreciate the help guys. It seems to me the best thing to do right now is wait and watch the market huh? I got quite some time before I am back in the states.. I greatly appreciate the options that were given.
