What fans do you typically use for the radiators?

Cant stop drooling over the new options, maybe I can sell one one of my kidneys to fund my future DS rig.
One thing though, did you guys really pump liquid nitrogen through the LC system? Isn't that supposed to be bad for the pumps and tubing? |

Very cool. I like that you offered a "lower end" stage this time. The new pump/res is neat as well.
I'm assuming the FrostChill offers less performance than the old frostbite, while the SubZero is much better than the frostbite? Keep it up! Next thing you know, DS computers will start looking as fancy-schmancy as murdermod rigs, and I don't think anyone would complain about that Edited by sdelu - 13 Nov 2009 at 8:35pm |

you are getting a better cpu block and a bigger rad with subzero, so you will see a little bit of temp difference there.
but I doubt you will see a difference between frostbit and frostchill on cpu. hey Alex which loop are you guys putting the mobo block on? is the same loop no matter if the person get 1,2 or 3 gpus? Edited by DST4ME - 13 Nov 2009 at 8:39pm |

The chipset loop will be on the CPU loop.
The FrostChill is the FrostBite system, just a fresh new name.

Sneaky devils! The frostbite was a single rad the whole time? I thought it was a dual rad for some reason. |

I definitely like the direction DS is going. I do have a question though. How much better is the Subzero LC system than Frostbite? I see that its a $100 difference between the two. How much better are the temps with the Subzero LC system as opposed to the Frostbite?

Thanks Alex
@Sneakerz, with a dual rad and a better WB for cpu, there is possibility of around 5c difference I think. Edited by DST4ME - 14 Nov 2009 at 2:41am |

We've seen a 10'C-15'C difference between the FrostChill and Sub-Zero LCS units under full load on a 4.0GHz OC'd i7-920. |

O M G. I'm like half tempted to call in and have my order changed even though its been 4 days since I got my Stage 5 notification. I somehow feel my product is no longer superior and its already outdated and hasn't left the factory. When I built it I upgraded for 90 bucks to the 360mm rad, but this LC option didn't exist, so now I feel like I should complete the system.
Alex do you know how much it would cost given my previous 360mm upgrade and how long a delay it might cause? For that matter would it even be worth it given I already have the 360mm rad? Hmmm choices to delay my PC or not... that does look pretty sexy I definitely approve Edited by Prator - 14 Nov 2009 at 5:55pm |

Give us a call, we can still make changes for you, but, there will be a small re-build fee since we will have to take apart the system, re-do the complete build and re-test and tune the computer with the new system.
If you already have the 240mm radiator, it won't be that big of a difference, it's your choice bud.

Hello Alex,
Just a quick question. I am new to liquid cooling.
Liquid Cooling – This type of cooling utilizes specially formulated liquid to regulate the heat generated by the different components in your system. A complete system consists of a: pump, reservoir tank, liquid blocks, and radiator. Liquid cooling in general increases overclocks significantly compared to air cooling. The down side to liquid cooling is the maintenance that is sometimes
(after 2-3 years) required and its price.
What is the maintenance that is required with liqiud cooling? Also what is the specially formulated liquid, Prestone?
Thanks for any info!

they use fluidxp or feser fluids I think, I'm sure Alex can tell us which brand they are using now.
the maintenance is flushing, its a good idea to flush the system every 3 years. |
