I ordered on 11-03-07, It went into Stage one on 11-06-07 and then to Stage two on 11-12-07........... And now I am about to explode with anticipation! I have already downloaded all of my keepers from off of my old system, bought a new router and wireless external anntena (as my old router won't support Vista and my new system will have no PCI slots for a wireless card). This machine is going to rock and I spend most of the day on my email hitting refresh looking for the Stage three notification! I know there are many more out there in this same boat........ So, lets just stay in touch on here to help each other with our temporary addiction withdrawals!
Heres the build!

My post hit as a Guest…….. But it is my thread. Guess I was not logged in or did not hold my mouth right or something. I KNOW that I will love it; it’s just the waiting that’s hard. I, like everyone else here that has posted, just has very little patients! But, for a custom gaming rig such as this I know it takes time to build. That’s the price you pay for ultimate power! My currant rig was built about 7 years ago with the handy work of my neighbor, a Systems Programmer and Server Builder. He has since moved away and can’t help me anymore! When we built this, it took about two weeks to order and receive parts, build it and then get it up and running correctly. Add to that the head aches of getting everything, evening runs to Best Buy and CompUSA to get NEW parts to make it work right. It was a nightmare! And since it was built, I have upgraded the video card twice, updated ram three times and changed a croaked hard drive twice. The system I have now, that I am replacing with my monster Digital Storm rig, is as follows: Intel P4, 2.4 GHz 1.5 GB Corsair Ram Nvidia 256 MB Asus P4S533 Mother Board Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer Run at 1024 x 768 It has finally hit the wall and I can not wring anymore out of it! I learned this when I loaded BioShock and had to tone down the settings. And then the Crysis demo. Uggg. Max I could run it is in 800 x 600. So, bring on the Monster Rig! I need to play High settings again! |

I have a wireless B router....... Linksys. I checked their sight and it it is too old (had about 5 years) and it does not support Vista, there are no firmware support products for it and, as linksys says on their site : "Lynksys does not plan to support this product in the future".
I also talked to a CSM and they confirmed that.
So, I now have the WRT54G router and the WUSB54G network adaptor sitting here with the ever growing pile of products to go with my new system.
