Budget:
2500-3000

Expectations:
This would be my 2nd gaming computer after about 3 years. I'm just expecting a gaming unit where I can play games, surf the net, and watch movies.

Usage:
The main focus will be on gaming. Plan to buy as VR set in the near future. Maybe light photoshop use ( most likely some other photo editing software online. )

Special Needs:
I really don't know much about overclocking, but interested if it helps without worry of overheating. Speaking of which, I would prefer water cooling as oppose to air.

Monitor is 1920 x 1080. ( I think ) ASUS VE278H Black 27" 2m

I was looking at the Velox and Apollo models but have no idea as to what parts are better / go with what / etc.

Thanks!

Specifications:

That build looks good but you can save some money.

I would drop to 16gb ram.   Plenty and all you need for gaming.    For most even 8gb will do it, but 16gb has become pretty standard.

You don't need the 1080 ti for 1080 p gaming.   The 1070 will do it, gtx 1080 if you just want extra, but don't really need it.

No internal lighting for looks ?

Just a heads up.....the Velox has a right facing window, the Apollo 760t has the more conventional left window.   Not sure your desk orientation matters.

Pick the CD option for Recovery.     If the drive dies you'll want that option.

I would up the SSD size.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

These were some edits I made.

Would this be 'future proof' as far as gaming is concerned? And do you think the temps would be fine?

Thanks soo much again!

That is a nice system. And will work good with VR. Strong
Note you only have one year warranty for parts and its just starting to get  warm in 1 year.  Big%20Smile
