Budget:
Willing to spend what I need to. 7k ish give or take I suppose. Expectations: Max potential for gaming without investing in technology that I won't use. As in, I don't want to overinvest in the system, I just want it to do its job to the absolute best of its abilities. Usage: Gaming Special Needs: N/A Saved Ticket #: None Specifications: Was liking that widescreen curved monitor they sell. Other than that, like I said, everything I need for max gaming potential, but not anything I don't need. |

Not sure which display you're looking at, the 1080p or 1440p wide. Also not sure if you want a full water cooled rig or all on air. Water stays cooler and quieter but Air is easier to maintain, upgrade and still works fine.
For anything under a 4 k monitor, you only need to spend half your budget, unless you want their flagship Aventum with Hydrolux water cooling. The Velox level 2 or Apollo level 3 with single 980 ti would do it. I can't cut/ paste right now so take a look at those builds. In a couple of weeks the new Pascal gtx 1080 cards will be released. I'd wait if you can. They'll be stronger, more psu friendly and features to enhance VR, etc. Edited by bprat22 - 11 May 2016 at 2:42am |

Oh my, ok. Well. The wide screen I think was the curved. Half my budget sounds great! No idea what Pascal is. I have looked at the desktops and I am just unsure what the differences are. So many options.

I would hold out for the Pascal - better bang for the buck. If money is no object for monitors, I would take a look at the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q.
