Computer arrived yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! Very impressive. When playing Black Shark all settings maxed and not even a micro stutter.
Alex, a big thanks goes out to you and your team. This is my first gaming computer and the entire experience has been nothing short of complete satisfaction.
Now my question.
I've never had more than 2 hard drives. Before loading programs I sometimes get the choice which one to install on. When I downloaded some others, I had no choice and it went on the Intel 320. How do I prevent this from occuring again?

Some installers give you the option, and some don't, the ones that don't give you that option, you don't really have an option, if the installer does not give you any.

Just wanted to make sure there was nothing I can do ahead of time. I assume that the C drive is considered the default. Thank you! |

I'm going to experiment a bit this weekend with using hard links to move things to the place I want them.
the way I've used it before is to install to the default location, then move the files to the other drive and hard link from the existing location to the new location. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/ You need to definitely understand what it is that you are doing when creating these, so please read up before trying it. |
