Like I said in your other poll, I personally like a larger case for airflow, ease of upgrading, etc. You don’t need a 1000 watt psu for a single graphics card.

See I just like the bolts design better but worried about the 700 W.
I’m worried about just the solid black case I’d they have more issues than painted. I can’t tell what would perform bette |

Go for what you like. If you like the Bolt then get it. The 700 watt psu is all you need, so no worries there. DS won’t install a gpu/psu combo that doesn’t work. I don’t see the Bolt much smaller, it has grown with each update, and for me, a case with more room for air movement and updates is the way for me. They’ll both perform equally with the same cpu, gpu, ram setup. Edited by bprat22 - 22 Apr 2019 at 12:46pm |

So if I overclock should I go velox ? Or bolt? I love the look of bolt but if the velox performs better then... |

You or DS can safely overclock the Bolt, and there is an option for it. But, the 9900k Turbos to 5.0 anyways, so unless your into demanding productivity apps, the stock speed is all you need. Same for graphics card. Overclocking does put the speed on all cores, vs Turbo that steps the speed over all cores, but for gaming, 2-4 cores is great.
If you wanted to push the overclock to higher speeds, for bragging rights , fun or benchmarking, then the larger case gives you more room for the heat overclocking generates. |

For me, the Velox. For you? That’s your decision. If you want me to make the decision for you, with no liability or repercussions. , then go Velox.
We’ve mentioned this to others....the Velox has the window on the right side, the Bolt and Lumos on the left. For some like me, the placement of the pc next to my desk made the Lumos the best pick. |

I had the lumos but had issues with it. So I liked it was on right side of me which would be bolt x but if the velox is that much better performance wise |

I didn’t say the Velox was better performance. With the same components, they are equal. It comes down to a personal preference in the case, either for looks or the Bolt if you have a space issue.

I guess I would follow hoserator’s advice and flip a coin. Can’t go wrong with either choice. What do you want to look at for the next 3-5 years?
Good luck. |
