Hey guys I was wondering if you can help me out here.Whenever I start steam and play CS:GO my monitor will go black and keep on restarting and the game tends to get really laggy and slow. But if I close everything it will be fine. This doesn't happen when I play games like Fortnite any recommendations?

Try Verifying Game Files in Steam......Open Steam, right click the game, select Properties, Local Files and then Verify game files and let it run.

Agreed, verifying Game Files in steam is always one of the best (and easiest) ways to start.

If that doesn't work, the next thing I would check is to make sure there is no driver issue (e.g. update your GPU drivers).

If neither of those work, then I'd try running it in compatibility mode to see if that helps.

Check: Steam Client Updates to make sure the platform is current. Next would be the gpus like Tidgxor suggests. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Thanks I verified the local steam files and looks like I had a upgrade that needed on my gpu.

Prior to that I was loading up the game Fortnite and the same thing happened it would go to black screen in and out and eventually restart. After that I had no problems so when I get home I will try it again to see what happens.

Anybody here play CS:GO I have another question lol sorry.

I notice whenever I launch Spotify and will play music it feels like my volume in game gets lower.
