cause they will make no difference, as in if I came in the middle of the night and took them out, you would never notice the difference in the games.
12GB of ram is pure overkill, for gaming you have zero to gain from it. there is no difference between 960 @ 3.7GHz and 920 @ 3.7GHz. in games you are not gonna notice the difference bettween 3.8GHz and 4.0GHz. at 2560 x 1600 res, 2 x 5870 do better then 1 x 5970. 3 x 5870 is better then 2 x 5970. quad scaling is not good at all, so you don't want to go quad cf/sli. at your res anything above 2 x 5870 is a waste of money. the same goes for upgraded fans that bring lot more noise, and fan controller that does not control all the fans and its reported temps are not as accurate as some softwares that can do the same. don't use mcafee its very heavy, instead go with ESET Smart Security, it has a 30 day full free trial, try it first then buy a license after 30 days I love it and highly recommend it. hope that clears it up. |

When memory is set in DDR3 it (effectively) triples your RAM, so to speak. So 6GB of DDR3 Ram is the same as 18GB of RAM, minus 1GB for Windows 7. So yes, the 6GB in my opinion should more than hold its own, regardless of the amount of applications. I could be wrong.

6GB should be enough but if its not you can always add more ram. no you don't want tri cf, it will give you very little gains, what you want is what I posted which is 2 x 5870. |

There's a monitor post in the hardware section, and speakers are mostly a preference thing; what I like might not be what you like. Easiest thing to do with both of those is just shop around man, find what you like!

the 3007 is also a great Monitor for a touch less.
speakers, well this it what I would do if you want a decent setup. I love this setup over all else I have tried, but, sound is subjective.
a pair of Swan M200MkIII
and a decent sub, I have a dual setup, bit a single will work for most people.
speakers
sub
