Are Digital Storm Auras suppose to Hum constantly?
The humming is coming from the CPO pump. I tried doing some research and though that maybe there was air in the lines, but it has been well over a week since receiving this machine. |

The liquid all in one coolers do make some noise, but usually coming from the fan. It runs all the time, as long as the computer is on, to keep the CPU cool. How loud it is is very subjective, so I can't say if what you have is normal or a bad fan or a fan on high rpm. You can use Bios or the motherboards software like fanXpert to adjust the speed, just making sure temps under load stay good.
The pump should be very quiet. Hope this helps. |

It is not the fan and rather a humming noise coming from the CPU pump on the Core(s) with the tubes sticking out.
I have been using the Motherboard ASUS Dual Intelligence Processor software that came with the machine which does indeed silence the fan(s) but not the pump. |

I've never used the liquid sealed coolers, preferring air coolers myself, but on the forums I haven't seen anyone complain about the pump itself, maybe because most of the systems are in the larger enclosures that mask any noise.
Googling the problem makes me think that what you have is normal but maybe a call or email to DS will get you a better answer. A lot of postings of people with noisy pumps. |
