Does anybody have the hydrolux lite on their DS system?
I'm curious whether this is a closed or open loop water cooling unit. |

it's a hybrid system from Swiftech. it's expandable, so you can add cooling to other components at a later time.

Hi senister,
I have not seen one but think this is the layout. It is open loop system using the Swiftech H320 or H220 closed loop system. DS configures them with quick disconnect connectors and you can open the loop. The unit has the pump and reservoir built into the system on the radiator. The unit uses a standard CPU Swiftech water block. Since DS custom designs the Lite cooling I am not sure if they are using the 120mm or 140mm size radiator/fans. They do use two and three fan systems. You can see the basic system in the photo. A really good system for the money. Frank Picture of Swiftech Cooler. Edited by FrankW - 21 Jun 2016 at 2:48pm |

So it has the RGB features?
I wonder how it looks with the CPU+GPU config. |

Just deciding whether to get this as my first water cooling system. No experience with water cooling so just wanna know how often the swiftech kits need to be refill and how much harder it is for the AIO compared to custom loop.

According to manufacturer, the Swiftech doesn't need any maintenance over its 3 year warranty. If you did need to add liquid, the fill plug is on the side, so the case would be tipped on its back to access the fill plug.
The water cooling setup, Hydro pro, the reservoir has the plug on the top. Both are accessible. |

hydrolux is a good starter LC system IMHO.
but you can beat it with with custom lc parts. However we are talking lots more $$$ So if you are interested in getting started in LC then this is a good way to get your feet wet. If you got $8 grand or more and want to jump in the water and don't mind messing with your lc system let us know. |

I am confused. On the Bolt III customization page, it lists only Hydrolux Pro. Thus, shouldn't that picture be representative of Hydrolux Pro? |

For the Bolt, the Hydrolux Pro is the same unit as the Hydrolux LITE on the other builds. The Pro Exotic wouldn't fit in the Bolt, so DS calls the LITE the PRO , probably to market it as tops for the Bolt.

Since the Hydrolux PRO in the Bolt 3 is Digital Storm branded Swiftech H220 X2, would it be safe to assume that the GPU block used on the graphics card is also from another company? If so, what GPU waterblock does Digital Storm use in this picture? Additionally, what GPU block would DS use for a GTX 1080 in a Bolt 3? Edited by Salangsang - 27 Jun 2016 at 6:40pm |

Nope, it's an EK CSQ block. I have only seen DS use EK water blocks on the GPUs.

I thought it look like the csq but I was not sure, I figured it was with the swiftech family but they use to use swiftech back in the day.

Ah, well, EK has better performing blocks anyhow, so they are delivering a better product. The circles are the dead giveaway for the EK block. Plus you can see where the jet-plate is over the GPU chip, where it gets most of the performance improvement.
