My PC keeps shutting off - not down, like serious hard boot off - with no warning whatsoever, in the middle of whatever I'm doing. I've emailed DS tech support twice now and gotten no answer. This is seriously getting irritating, and I'd like a little help, please.

Not sure when you emailed, but DS is open 9-5 Pacific time. I'm sure they'll get back to you.

Also don't know your specs or if BSOD, reboots, messages, etc.

Download and run HWMONITOR. Use it to check cpu core and gpu temps to see if overheating is the issue. Under 85 centigrade means not a heat issue.
Are all the fans running?

Did you just update video card drivers? If so then roll back or download and install a different driver.

Reseat the video card and ram sticks and the connections to the motherboard, esp. the 24 pin on right side and 4/8 pin on top of mobo.

Do a System Restore to an earlier point to undo any updates, installs that might have corrupted the system.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your DS machine. It can definitely be frustrating when your computer isn't working as it should be. Replies could possibly be going to your spam/junk mailbox. You can also try sending your support request to [email protected] or [email protected] if it's actually been a day or two without any response to the general support email. Alex will assist in getting your situation resolved. BP22 also gave some great help (as always) to help you get started on troubleshooting your machine until you can get ahold of DS.
