This is gonna sound like the dumbest question on these forums but im new to owning a gaming pc. Ive had my setup since November 1st and ive had the switch in the back turned on the entire time. I obviously shut down the pc manually after each use but the switch in the back I constantly leave on and there is always power running through for the internet(orange lights in the back always lit up cause ethernet is plugged in) I just wanna make sure that doing this is 100% safe or not?

Absolutely safe and pretty much a standard thing to do.

If you ever mess about inside the case for cleaning or any other reason, you should be unplugged from the wall for safety, and not just rely on the off switch. It's also a good idea in that case to press and hold the power-on button in the front of the case after you're unplugged to discharge any capacitors that might be storing some power. You can ground yourself just by touching metal on the case.

Hope it helps.

Cretae has given you real information. I've never messed with the power switch in the back as there is no real need. When the computer comes apart for physical cleaning it is unplugged. IMHO that switch is not meant for us normal users to ever worry about.

That is the switch for the power supply unit (psu). No need to turn it off unless you are not going to use the pc for weeks or for cleaning/maintenance.
Enjoy. Big%20Smile

Speaking of cleaning....What do you suggest is the best way to clean the inside of a case. canned air for dust? or just a dry rag wipedown?

Some here use an small air blower (use of canned air is also ok but have to be careful you keep can upright). I use all, first a cleaning with a dust cloth (general areas and fans-blades), then air and vacuum the radiators.

Be very careful with static electricity buildup. Touch metal on the case to discharge any and I would also use a wrist strap for grounding, insurance. And of course, turn pc off! Hahaha
