Hi,
I bought 2 Digital Storm gaming pc's 12 years ago and they are both still running to this day, with some upgrades along the way. They both lived up to the reputation that made me order through DS to begin with.

Now i'm looking to replace both of them with 2 new system builds.

Here's a build that i came up with for review.

1) Is the 850W power supply sufficient ?

2) Should i go with the RTX 4070 over the 4070ti ?

It will be used mostly for gaming and online trading platforms. I also want an audiophile grade soundcard. I'll be using a 43" Asus ROG Strix monitor for each pc.

Budget is $3500-4000 for each build

Thanks for any

You don't need 64GB of RAM, you'll never use it. The resolution of your monitors determines your GPU. If you're not pushing 4K, I think the 4070 will be all you need, and probably a little more so.

The 850W Corsair PSU is recommended. Everything else are high-end recommendations IMHO.

I'll lower the RAM to 32GB
I will be using it for 4k gaming.
Here is the monitor i'll be using for each pc.

Asus ROG Strix XG43UQ HDMI 2.1 Gaming Monitor — 43-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160), 144 Hz, 1ms MPRT, HDMI® 2.1, AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro technology, Display Stream Compression (DSC), Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) Sync, DisplayHDR™ 1000, DCI-P3 90%, Shadow Boost, Remote Control

I want to make sure the GPU is good enough and will last for awhile before upgrading it.

The 4070 must be new. I don't remember seeing it before.
The 4070ti scores well on the benchmark tests and seems to have the best performance to cost value.

Thank you for the reply Cretae !

The 4070 is just recently released. As said, the 4070 Ti for 4k, so you're good. I think you'll be very pleased!
Glad to help.

I haven't decided on the case yet, between the Velox and Lumos

I like the open windowed on the left side better, but other then that, are there any pluses or minuses with either case ?

Thanks again for the help

I don't have any personal experience with the Lumos, but I really love my Velox case. It has plenty of space inside, and that makes it really easy to perform upgrades. I recently installed a huge RTX 4090 card, and it easily fit inside the case. I also like the appearance of the case. It's all metal, and has a sleek look. I like the glass side panels too. They are each held in place by 4 thumbscrews with rubber washers. It's the easiest case to open that I've ever had. Finally, since the GPU is mounted upside down, that means it's positioned near the top of the case where the heat easily flows out the top.

In short, I really love the Velox. I would say it's my favorite case design after 20 years of PC gaming.

It’s been a long time since I posted, but I wanted to have both systems running for awhile before posting any comments.

It’s been about 4 months and both systems are running great and I have had zero issues.

As expected, these are awesome systems !!

Thank you Digital Storm and for everyone’s help and comments.

Here’s a pic of my system. My wife has the other one. Lol

That’s an Asus ROG Strix XG43UQ 43” 4K monitor and it has taken gaming to a new level after using a 27” non 4K monitor for years.
