Here's a tweak of your build.....Less money, the gtx 1070 which is all you need, and changed the SSD, HDD and cpu cooler to better, known parts with longer warranty and proven reliability.
16gb ram is plenty. The 750 w psu is plenty, but the 850watt works . Configuration Code: 1578624 Total Price with Instant Savings: $3,030.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1578624 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm Apollo (Black) Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz (Codename Skylake) (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS Z170-PRO GAMING (Intel Z170 Chipset) (Up to 5x PCI-E Devices) System Memory: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Digital Storm Performance Series
Power Supply: 750W EVGA SuperNOVA
Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (1TB Samsung 850 EVO)
Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (1TB Western Digital - Black Edition)
Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1070 8GB (EVGA ACX 3.0) (VR Ready)
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H115i - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance)
HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Exotic Cable Management - Green - (Cable Combs with Custom Color Sleeved Extension Cables) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Remote Controlled LED Lighting System (Multiple color options and lighting effects) Airflow Control: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU - Up to 4.4GHz (Depends on Cooling and Motherboard)
Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: Yes, Disable and tweak all of the non-crucial services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature + Windows Installation CD (Partition up to 50GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: Asus 24 inch VG248QE Series (144Hz Refresh Rate) (1ms Response Time) (1920x1080) Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 4 Year Limited Warranty (4 Year Labor & 2 Year Part Replacement) Edited by bprat22 - 03 Jan 2017 at 11:25am |

Thanks for your help! I think I'm going to make this purchase this evening. Just really was thinking about getting the GTX 1080 and think I would like more storage. Was thinking I would like to have at least 4TB of storage.

If you really want the gtx 1080 then go for it. I'm just showing you all you really need so as not to waste money. The gtx 1080 for that game and monitor is overkill. You could Google csgo with the gtx 1070 and see how it performs. Nothing wrong getting a stronger card if the money is there.
I just put in the 1 TB drive as an example. Try to stay with Western Digital Black, an excellent drive with proven reliability and longer warranty. |

I think I just going to go big and get the GTX 1080. I know that its overkill but I just want to have the best and know that will be good for the next few years.
I've updated my build... thoughts? https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1578696 Edited by SAC - 03 Jan 2017 at 1:19pm |

If you don't mind some overkill then go for it. 32gb ram is too much but it doesn't hurt, so up to you.
Looks like a nice powerful rig. |
