Topic: New Lumos arrived! Posted: 30 Apr 2019 at 7:05pm |
Yesterday I received my first ever Digital Storm Computer, and all I can say is that this company is awesome. While the order was still in stage 1, I called on the phone, not once but twice to make a couple of changes, and every time I was greeted by very professional and courteous people eager to help. The computer arrived in perfect condition, because the shipper took good care on the packing and securing of the PC guts.
To be honest, I was very reluctant to order from DS after reading and watching some bad reviews online, but I am glad I did, cause everything I read was a lie. Yes, damage while in transit can happen, no matter how well you pack your product, but in those situations is not the fault of DS, but the carriers. I am in love with this machine. I'm 63 years old but and been gaming since the days of the Commodore 64, Amiga and early PCs, and last night I stayed up till 05:30 AM, playing like in the good old days! Thank you DS, beautiful machine. Congrats.
I also ordered the Lumos last year, my 2nd DS rig, and love it. I’m 69 years old and have also been gaming since the Commodore64 and TI99-4A. Lots of us old timers frequenting the forums. Enjoy. |

One thing for sure, I can no longer use keyboard+Mouse for playing. My age and the surgeries I had on my arms cause me to have cramps and pain in my wrist. I've been playing those on my PS4. I can play PvP with a controller but I have no chance against K+M players.
Last night I downloaded the demo of "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" for the PC and set all the graphics at MAX on a 2560x1440 screen. Wow! I've been playing this game on the PS4 and there is no comparison between the looks and the smoothness that I get on the PC. I wish I could transfer all those games I have on the PS4 to my PC to play them in all their glory ;) |

Here we go. This time I signed up to imgur. The only difference to the original configuration: replace RAM with Corsairs Dominators RGB and added two 1TB 860 EVOs SSDs.
