I get to order my Aventum X around the first week of June.

Honestly, you need to have a reason to spend all that dough for "overkill". If you don't have specific needs for all that power, it's mostly a total waste for bragging rights.

Bragging rights only last as long as what you have is cutting edge, you know, and that's only a few months, at best.

So what are you going to be using the computer for?

For gaming like the Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out and you can say I'm a computer enthusiast as well and to build too or the very little times I can but those are stupid reasons. I'm just going to forget about computers. Well thanks for helping and I'm sorry for wasting your time.

Don't get the Titan RTX unless you have money to burn for minimal performance gain over the 2080ti. Use that money to get a nice monitor. Also make sure you go into it with eyes wide open about the Intel choice, it's a dead end platform so future upgrades will be minimal if at all.

So what do you think? Single or sli 2080 ti? If I was able to order it in the next few months. Most likely will be after summer which I will wait for the new stuff, same way with he CPU. My monitor right now is the Asus rog 27inch 1440p 144hz.πŸ˜„

This all started back when I saw the Aventum 3 and then few months later that's when they changed to the X. I wanted that case, it looked SO AWESOME!!! Before I had ZERO chance of ever hoping to get one. Now I do have a chance to get one. I had a bigger chance if I could pay monthly. One day i will get a Ventum XπŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

SLI isn't worth it in my opinion and it's a very specific use case if it is supported. If gaming is your thing, then a single 2080TI is all you will need. Also, the 3XXX series of GPU's is expected this first half so you may be better off waiting as well if having the latest and greatest is your thing.

If you are still pursuing the SLI route, then it is highly recommended you get water cooling for the GPU's as well.

Dude, if I thought you were wasting my time, I just wouldn't respond.

If you're a gamer, you don't want a workstation power CPU, you want a sportscar like the 9900K. See, speed's the thing, and it turbos automatically higher than the X series procs. Then you put a DS overclock on it!

SLI makes no sense anymore. sangnas is telling you straight. It doesn't give you any more video RAM than one card, and there is nothing coming out that will support it. Nvidia is about to come with the new line soon. The top card is going to be... well, wow.

As far as your monitor is concerned, that's the one forum members here recommend most. If you like it, stick with it. One 2080 Ti powers that monitor to the max.

32GB of RAM is more than you need for gaming, but go right ahead. 64GB would have most of the RAM idle all the time.

By all means liquid cool the GPU and overclock it if you want.

I hope you get your dream Aventum. Just want to see you outfit it for gaming instead of medical research.

Thanks Cretae for you help. Yeah I will get either 2080ti or one of the ampere cards, depends when I can order itπŸ˜† and 9900k.

I do have a question, on the motherboard option, either Asus rog hero or MSI godlike which motherboard will better at overclocking? I like the asus rog motherboards so could they get like code or formula instead of hero?

Do digital storm offer any other monthly payment options other then bread?

You are most welcome.

I do like MSI mobos, but I believe the Asus is deliberately optimized for overclocking. DS will work with you to obtain any part you want. You will pay an extra fee for the order, and it may delay your build while the part comes to them.

Bread is the only finance option here.

Either I go with msi or a different asus rog but mostly likely I will stick the asus rog hero, it makes the totally price come down🀣🀣🀣

What you think about the psu Corsair or digital storm? I was thinking the DS 1000w would be great psu.

It's bound to be a quality part IMHO. The difference is the Corsair branded part comes with a 10 year warranty from Corsair. You may want that for peace of mind, but if it fails after one year (the comprehensive DS warranty unless you pay for up to 3 years), you deal with Corsair about it.

You may wish to think about paying to extend your DS warranty since your overall build cost has come down.

Yeah I will think about that and the price has come down a lot right now its $6,156 if DS still have the -$500 offer it will be $5,656. The lower the price goes down the quicker I can save and finally get it.😁😁

The installer that comes integrated into WIN 10. Whatever media it comes on, (CD, thumbdrive, etc;) boot from it and WIN Installer will take over and walk you through the whole thing.

The 1200w is really unnecessary. You will be challenged to come close to 850w with an all-core overclock on the CPU and overclock on the GPU. The 1200w would be recommended if you were going to run more than two GPU cards.
