Hola Dondomingo, Also forgot to welcome and congratulate you on a wise choice to go with DS. You will not be sorry. A few comments: If still early, I would try to change the Storage Set 1 to the 970 Evo or Pro. They use Pcie interface instead of SATA and therefore way faster. It is noticeable. Unless you have an audiophile sound system, the sound card is not necessary either since the mobo sound is great. And lastly, the hardline cooling is really GREAT looking and unfortunately, when shipping is rough, the one we see here with more complaints. (leaks) I am sure many more make it trouble free so..... Enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll have to see if they are willing to work with the swap on the storage.
I live close enough so I’ll be picking the unit up instead of shipping to avoid exactly what you said. |

They will amend the order if early enough. No worries. Getting the system yourself is a real bonus. It avoids ALL the careful handling the systems are subjected to during shipping.

@Hoserator they upgraded it , only a difference of 30 dollars, god I can’t thank you enough. I was in such a hurry to replace my 7 yr old and failing Alienware that I missed that.
I kept the sound card because yeah I do CD recordings. I have one on iTunes several years old and desperately need to finish CD 2 |

BTW, did you know that the Velox is a DS exclusive and proprietary design? Looking at it on the front, the window is on the right side and the mobo is upside down with the gpu on top of the cpu. It is a very spacious case.

I did not know that, I did notice the windows is on the right side which is perfect for my desk set up.
So is the video card letters will be upside down? I thought I saw that on a video but wasn’t sure. No biggy, I suppose if I had a complain it would just be that I heard Nvidia took away the LED controls so even though the theme is black and red , the card will be lit green. Another ? , how do you get the verified customer badge? Edited by Dondomingo - 31 Jul 2019 at 5:25pm |

Just verify that your email addresses for ordering your computer and subscribing to the forums are exactly the same. Like a password, they have to match exactly... capitals/lowercase/numbers. [email protected] does not match [email protected] The system will recognize you as a customer and give you the really cool "Verified Customer" badge. |

Thanks Cretae! No doubt, that was a close call.
Still wondering though if I should of taken the advice on passing on the sound card, guess the question is if I’m going to actually get around to using my Acid Pro/Soundforge to work on my music with all this gaming goodness. If not, it’ll be a wasted purchase, just feels odd not buying one lol |

If you're truly doubtful, I would suggest you leave that off and buy one later if you decide you need it. It would just plug into a pcie slot and one screw secures it to the back of your rig. Very easy even for fumblers like me.
Or... "lifetime labor free upgrades" if you're THAT close! |

As to your GPU and LED colors...If you ask DS for an EVGA RTX 2070 Super FTW3 Ultra...you would be able to use the EVGA Precision X1 software to control LED colors. I have the EVGA RTX 2080 FTW3 Ultra and can use the software to set LED parameters/colors.

Figures, now as I’m in stage five, I'm beginning to wonder if I should of went with the 1200w power supply and replaced the Toshiba HD with another SSD... I guess it doesn’t matter I could of went on to building a $8 k machine and still felt like I forgot something.
