Hello all,

Please help evaluate my system.  I really don't know squat about new computer technology, and I tried to build from what I've read on the site.  The computer will mainly be used for surfing, creating documents (text, power point, spreadsheets), music, games and photo storage, lots and lots of photos as my wife likes to scrpabook.  $2500 is pretty well my limit.  Basically, everyone in the family will use the computer for their different needs so it needs to be flexible.

I am also planning on using a 22" LCD monitor.

Thanks so much for your help.

Brian

Digital Storm has christmas specials that look pretty good.  One that is close to your budget is the HAF 932 under special deals.  It has a higher processor and more ram than your config.  It also has 1TB hard drive which is alot of storage.  It comes liquid cooled which is good for overclocking the processor.  All in all I would go for that deal.

Upgrade the cooling.

Drop one of those CD/DVD drives unless you really need both.

Might want to consider a smaller, but faster hard drive for your first drive for the operating system

this is a great system, with much room to upgrade down the road, you can get a faster HDD if you like, you can add another GPU if you like, you can upgrade to future CPUs.

Thanks so much for everyone's help.  I now have some sense of direction in putting a system together.  Now, I just have to hope for that Xmas bonus.
