Hi I was planning on getting the ODE 1 once I got my taxes back but I was wondering if it was possible to have them switch out the hard drive.  I was hoping they could switch it out with a one terabyte hard drive and possibly add a solid state drive to the mix.  Also what would you guys recommend for the hard drive and solid state drive if they could switch them out?   Oh last question I'm getting way ahead of myself here but if all of this pans out would I have to switch the power supply while I'm at it?

Ho Docsodacan..... I'm not one of the config guys but here goes....
Not sure of your monitor or resolution....

DS charges $50 per change to ODE plus the cost of part or difference in price if I'm not mistaken.
SSD .... 120GB 320 series is tops
HDD ...ITB Western Digital Black Edition is what is recommended.

800W ps is not bad but the 750HX or 1050HX comes with 7 year warranty which is indicative of its quality.  Better reliability.

After all the changes and charges for upgrading ODE 1  why not go with ODE 3 and get a sli rig with sli gtx570's and SSD and ITB HDD.  For sli and SSD the ODE 3 can't be beat for the money.

Hm alright but then I'll have to buy windows seven to install on the drives right?  Also should I go with the the two drives bprat22 suggested and will I need a new power supply because of the solid state drive being added in?

Windows comes loaded on the HDD drive with ODE 1.  You don't have to buy it again to load on another drive.

DST suggested against the HDD because of high prices now thru March/April timeframe.  Flooding in Thailand shut things down.  The SSD, again as DST said, is easy to install yourself so why pay DS extra to do it.  IF you wanted to add drives the ones I listed would be the ones.

No added power supply or upgrade needed when adding drives.
