Topic: Quiet Lightroom / Photoshop / Gaming Rig Posted: 27 Nov 2017 at 11:01am |
Hey All,
Looking for rig optimization advice prior to pulling the trigger here. Please let me know where I can include a key upgrade that will serve my needs, optimize component interactions, or perhaps save money somewhere where I have overkill. I appreciate all feedback (as long as it is constructive) :) Budget: $4,500 Expectations: Quiet rig that will require only limited upgrades over the next 5 years. I bought my last rig in 2010 and after a few upgrades to that one, figured it is time to upgrade the whole enchilada. Usage: Optimized for Lightroom/Photoshop but capable of playing newer games (Overwatch, Destiny, and some World of Warcraft - Yes I know some of those are not new) on top settings. Choose factory oc, we can easily oc it ourselves with better results otherwise you can endup with high vcore. What res are you gaming at? For those games you don't need 1080ti Edited by DST4ME - 27 Nov 2017 at 2:01pm |

Ahhh good points on the OC.
I game on a widescreen monitor (3440x1440) but will upgrade to 4k in the near future. I probably can save some money on the graphics card, but want it for LR develop module as well as future-proofing for games :) Thanks for the feedback! Anything else glaring? Think I'm ready to pull the trigger... |

Looks good for 4k and 144hz you will need sli but your system is ready to handle it however for games like wow you won't need sli also most of those games don't even support sli.
I like the cordium better for case but it is your pc Edited by DST4ME - 27 Nov 2017 at 3:58pm |
