Well I bought my first Digital Storm system around 7 years ago. I have updated over time and it still works great. However, I was itching for a newer system so of course I ended up ordering a new DS computer. I decided to flip to an AMD cpu this time because the cpus are very good plus the new ryzen 4000 is rumored to work on the existing Motherboards so upgrading might be easier. Even if the rumors are wrong AMD's cpu are very solid. <pre ="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">System Configuration:

Agree on AMD. I don't think you'll regret it.
It's a very good build, but I would encourage you to spring for the 850W Corsair PSU so you are not gimped by that very important part when you go to upgrade. It's a pretty pricy thing, but they come with a 10 year warranty, and if you had to upgrade the 600 watter in the future, you'd have to rewire the whole insides. You could free up $68 toward that end if you wish by choosing the Seagate Firecuda 520 over the Samsung Pro SSD. It's a new PCIe 4 part that marries with your motherboard, and will perform at least just as well IMO. |

I actually was going to bump up to the 850 psu, but since they are unable to give specific brands( I asked and was told DS could not do it)I decided to save the money and buy my own later and replace it with a better PSU down the road. Only PSU I have ever had fail was a thermaltake and that was one of the brands that could get selected. I would have considered the Seagate if I have not had 3 failed Seagate Hard drives in the past. I know SSD are not mechanical drives, but I just bought the Samsung for peace of mind. Thank you for the suggestions. I will think a bit more about this and maybe look some more into reviews and maybe make that change in the next day or so. |

Congrats and welcome to the waiting game!
I also made the switch to AMD for this processor purchase and I have high hopes that it was worth it too!!! |

Thanks for the heads-up on the shift from the exclusive use of Corsair for the 850W PSU. I had totally overlooked the change. I would stick with the Samsung myself out of prejudice , the suggestion was to find money for the PSU. I don't worry about SSD's failing, but I understand your take. |

The DS has landed!.
I guess I live close enough that it only takes one day for a computer to arrive from DS. I am typing this on the computer right now. I will only be installing one game to test it all then on my next day off add the additional drives to the system that will hold the rest of my games. |

Everything has been going good so I decided to install two sata drives since I only ordered the system with an NVME drive.
Did not even think about needing sata cables so after digging around I found 1 so only one new drive is hooked up a samsung 860 1 TB SSD and the regular 1 TB HDD from my old system is in the case but I have no sata cable for it so off to order one. I guess I should have asked or planned ahead and just got a few. |

I love the choice! I'm rocking the 3700X + X570P combo as well. System has been performing great.
