Something wrong with Samsung 830?

I was discussing a proposed build today with a sales agent - ready to buy.  I wanted to swap in a Samsung 830 256 GB SSD for the Intel 520 240GB, aware that there was an extra charge.  I was assuming, they don't have a "special" relationship with Samsung yet, but that this was acceptable for their build (having them build/install).  While he didn't actually say "no" (he said he'd get back to me on a price and delay time for the build).  However, he also implied there was something wrong with this SSD, that it had failed their stress tests.  He couldn't be more specific  Never heard of issues with this drive and google searches turned up only good things.  Could this be true - or BS? Everything else in the build was standard, and "blessed" as working well together.
