Hey everyone, just ordered a custom built pc about a week ago and 3 days ago i got the stage 1 payment accepted, and was wondering how long it takes to move onto another stage or does it not update?

Each system is different due to different config/parts.
If everything is in and no problems you should be getting it shipped by the end of the week or so. But then again that is just pure assumption on my part, based on other's pcs. |

I also recently ordered a system, just last Monday and I'm on stage 3 now. I think they're just a little backed up because of summer.. we have to be patient.. but the anticipation makes it so hard!

Not the same thing:
DS being backed up means they themselves have the parts but can't keep up with the demands, which puts the burden on DS which is not true. parts being not available due to the fact that DS wants them but the manufacturer has non to give DS means that DS is ready to build your pc but the part they need from the manufacturer is not there so they can't. thus the burden is on the manufacture of the parts you want and not DS. i think most people either lost sight of the fact (or haven't heard) that these first run Pascal cards were always going to be in limited supply. go back to pre launch articles from tech sites and you'll see why.

I was in Stage 1 for about 4 business days. Give it time - if your build is stuck in a stage for longer than 5 business days email [email protected] (according to the admin, Alex)

I ordered my unit on June 1 and it sat at stage 3 until I called yesterday and said it had been 15 business days, so what was happening and they said that the power supply (I am going with the default PS) was the hold up and they would try to get it out this week. I have a capable machine in any event so I am in no hurry.

Please note, our up to 15 business day estimate factors in delays and any issues during testing. If you see your order stuck in a stage for a while, our team is aware of it, as we have daily reporting on pending orders by team members, it's just that it may take some time.
I would not be too concerned, we usually ship orders within our estimate. |

June 21st Update this morning was still at Stage 1 and just got home and it is now at stage 3. went from stage 2 to 3 in about an hour. :D very pleased atm keep up the good work alex and DS

Put my order in on the 8th made a change to the gpu and power supply on the 10th. Was notified by email that my order was in stage 3 on the 14th. Hasn't changed since.

Just to be the rain on your parade, I've been on Stage 3 since 6/16 :) I'm hoping it moves on tomorrow, but stage 3 is another slow one it seems.

this post is mainly for alex or another official, so i was checking order and it said shipment delayed due to train derailment, was wondering that when it gets here after a while now :( and its damaged would i be able to send it back and get a free repair?

Yes your pc has a 45 day warranty for a free return and repair from the day you get the pc.

I would contact UPS about the situation to get an update from them, I don't think much would have occurred. The computer is also packaged very well to handle a lot of abuse. You should be ok. If you get it and have any issues, we're here to help.
