This is an incredibly subjective question without further details as to why you're considering Linux as an OS (and more specifically Ubuntu). Not trying to sound short, but we'd need a lot more details in order to provide a better answer.

Like Tidgxor stated, it really depends on what you will be doing with the pc. Both are very good OSs for their intended use.

Probably for the majority of users here, Win 10 is the OS of choice.
For those Microsoft haters, or if your specific use is just better served by Linux then by all means use that. Dual boot with both OS is also a possibility that can be explored if you are uncertain.... |

Yes you can dual-boot with Ubuntu and Windows 10 on the same machine.

Ubuntu is an open-source operating system while Windows is a paid and licensed operating system. ... In Ubuntu Browsing is faster than Windows 10. Updates are very easy in Ubuntu while in Windows 10 for the update every time you have to install Java.
Ubuntu is More Resource-Friendly. The last but not the least point is that Ubuntu can run on older hardware far better than Windows. Even Windows 10 that is said to be more resource-friendly than its predecessors doesn't do as good of a job compared to any Linux distro. Hope this is helpful! |
