Hey everyone. I'm looking at the Vanquish 6 for my son. He mainly will be using it for FSX and X-Plane 11. Do you think the Vanquish 6 will suffice?

Yes, the Vanquish 6 are great.   The monitor resolution will determine which level video card to get.   Example...at least a gtx 1060, 1070 ideally, for 1920x1080 screen. 

Flight sims, last I looked, can be very cpu intensive.   I would try to get the level 3 or 4, Best..Ultimate, with the i7-7700 cpu for its higher clock speeds. 

They all will work, however, so the budget will most likely determine your choice.  Some are just faster and allow higher graphic settings than the lower tier.

Thanks. I bought the level 3 (best). My son currently runs his flight simulator on his laptop. It runs very well on his laptop so he will be very impressed when he gets an actual gaming desktop.

Thanks and yes he did pretty good this school year. I saw the Vanquish 6 has two hard drives (SSD and HDD). What is the best way to use those drives? For example, should I install applications on the SSD drive and store regular data (spreadsheets, documents, pics, videos, etc) on the HDD drive.

I found that Applications and games load faster and start faster on the SDD. use the HDD for documents and such

Good choice for  level 3... Its cool and load game faster.
