I just got my new PC today and its pretty bad. it can so far only run fortnite. and its weird because i can run fortnite at high or epic settings but team fortress 2 can barely run on the lowest. im very disappointed with this pc. Oh yeah it wouldnt load rust either, i got the main menu and it would freeze and go nowhere. also it couldnt run quake champions, apparently it didnt support it. but if theres anyone out there that can help please do

Just checking because it happens, are you hooking the monitor to the graphics card and not the motherboard integrated port ? The graphics card probably has plastic caps on some of the dvi and dp ports.
I doubt it’s the pc if some games run. Sounds like bad installs or Windows compatibility issues. Try running the games in compatibility mode if that’s available. If it’s a Steam game, right click game, hit properties, and check verify files. Use HWMONITOR to check cpu cores and gpu temps. Below 80’s C is good. |

This is just me, but I wouldn't put any stock into what happens with RUST. That is a game that is perpetually unfinished with too many bugs and changes. What is it now, 6 years in Early Access?

You should also check the Nivida Control panel and go to programs and in the drop down list find your games and make sure it is not set to integrated graphics, that can cause freezing and games to run at horrible fps! you have a GTX 1060 and an I7 8700 you should be running everything at Ultra 1080p. My Vanquish Level 3 comes tomorrow and i have full faith you are running into some fixable issues.

I looked at that nvidia control panel but when I click on it, it says “you are not currently using a display attached to a NVIDIA GPU”. Is it to do with the three disks they give you, do I have to install those?

I had the same issue you with my last PC you need to install the drivers for your graphics card and then it should let you access the control panel, you can do this manually or download Gforce experience which is nivida's program that installs drivers and updates to your card as well as optimizes games. Only other thing is that you might not be attached to the correct input as stated above hope this helps. |

You don’t have to use the included discs. Those are already installed. You double checked your monitor cable hookup to the video card ? That quote you posted usually means the monitor isn’t hooked to the card. Try a different video port or different cable. |

I wrote this somewhere else in these forums. This will give you a visual to see where to attach the monitor. Red circle... no good. Those are the mobo connections. GPU will be further down... yellow circle. This is my Corsair 240T case Vanquish... yours may differ slightly. Edited by Snaike - 14 Jun 2018 at 3:57pm |

It Says i have the latest drivers but when i click on it, it still says, "nvidia display settings are not available. you are currently using a display attached to a nvidia gpu". and when i change the hdmi cable to the different port i cant do anything. |

it's hard to explain but when i plug the hdmi cable into the different port it's acting like its a 2nd monitor because if i open google chrome it doesnt show up but if i plug it back into the original port i was using then the google chrome that i tried opening opened on that screen

I’m having a hard time trying to understand what you’ve tried. If you plug the cable in the hdmi on the graphics card, like Snaike’s picture above, and you get Chrome to show then the card is good. After that I would suspect the games themselves.
If you’re still not satisfied I recommend calling DS and getting some live, one on one support. Help on the forums can be difficult with the lag in Q and A. Call DS and let us know. |

You know, I think I was just given a bad one because this is just sooo slow like everything is, I’ve gotten multiple crashes and everything. Is it possible to send this back and either cancel it or have them resend a one that works? Because there’s no way I’m paying monthly for this!

You have to call DS and let them give it a try and they are also the ones to discuss returning. It does seem like something simple. Good luck and keep us posted.

Just a quick question... are you able to post a picture here of the back of your machine? Most of us think better when we can see what we're working with... |
