Hi everybody. And to those that work nightshift like me:


Anyway I will be going to Qatar(middle east) and everyone and I mean everyone I have talked to. Has told me to get a VPN for my new Behemoth(when i get it). That they(Qatar) watch the internet and censor it.
I have been told about 3 VPN providers.
1. Express VPN for Qatar.
2. VyprVPN Pro Plan
3. PureVPN out of China.

Has anyone heard of any of them or use them?
Can you tell me about VPNs?
I wont be putting anything on the internet that is banned, like porn.
BUT I do want to enjoy all my games from Steam.

This makes me sad for two reasons:  1) I just found out that I'm 175 years old because of working many years of nightshift, and 2) I just found out that I have no idea what a VPN is....

Thanks Arkansas... once I read the first post by oldlady I had to go and figure it out. So, last night I learned a lot about the world of Virtual Private Networks.

One nice thing about the nightshift, lots of bandwidth to play with when the bosses aren't around.

Hey Snaike...  The good thing about  servicing print-shops, etc. on 3rd shift, was the people and a nice, laid back atmosphere.   And no traffic...could park next to the door.  HahahaBig%20Smile

I don't have anything meaningful to add re VPNs, but they are useful and in my experience they work well.

I sometimes miss working the night shift. I was a 2nd and 3rd shift computer operator back when I got started and there were some perks to 3rd shift.

Ok now I have read a bunch about VPNs. Thanks AK! Glad it works well.
We have been so busy at work. Lots of sick children. Night shift is ok WHEN you have enough staff but when THEY are out sick it's hell.

I sent this pic to a few friends up north. Fresh Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit from our trees. And we are having Mardi Gras right now So "Happy Mardi Gras" all.

I've heard some good things abot ProXPN as well.  They have a limited free version that you can try out.
