Hi Guys,

its about 5 months on custom water cooling, I noticed that my primochill tubes turn yellow. however, the coolant is still clear looking into res. cpu & gpu blocks. will those yellow tubes possibly damage cpu or gpu blocks? or should i replace those tubes?

I am using

PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT
Koolance water coolant (clear)

Thanks!!

I don't think your coolant plays nice with tube. Or your temps are too high for that tube. What are your load temps

Change tube and go mayhem coolant

Be sure to flush system properly a few times

Thanks DST4ME for the response.

For temps, when in games.. CPU around 55-60c, GPU 45-50c. I think they are pretty decent. personally haven't run those benchmark tests to load up cpu or graphics.

Yea, I am planning changing the tubes and coolant since its about time ~5-6 months. but, will that potentially damage my cpu or gpu blocks when tubes turn yellow? coolant is still clear no issues I assume...

Thanks.

Well with proper setup you would just need to flush once a year, don't get me wrong, if you are up for it, flushing every 6months is fine, but once a year is good also.

The tube doesn't necessarily damage anything, its the particles / bacteria that is in the fluid that can damage certain parts. Make sure your fluid is friendly with all parts of your loop.

You should change it out very soon, whether it will damage or not is not that important at this stage, act like it does and change it out soon, tho depending on your parts Your blocks are fine once you flush them out.
