Digital Storm is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to an eligible student embarking on the journey of higher education. One lucky student will be chosen and awarded this scholarship to be used as he/she sees fit.
Requirements:
The essay must be between 500-1000 words. All entries will be evaluated on the quality of their thoughts on the essay topic: "Gaming and Society – How has sexism, violence, and racism in gaming had an effect on society?"
The scholarship recipient will be notified by July 1st, 2014 and announced on this page.
DEADLINE: 5PM PDT June 1st, 2014
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Please email your essay to [email protected] as a Microsoft Word Document based on the topic above. Name your file with your first and last name followed by your date of birth. Example: "john-smith-11-11-91.doc" and send it before 5PM PDT June 1st, 2014.
In the body of your email, please include:
Full name
Address
Phone number
High school name, city & state
The year you graduated (or are graduating) high school
The college you're attending (or are planning to attend)
RULES:
You must be a graduating high school senior or a freshman/sophomore in college.
Digital Storm reserves the right to verify the status of high school graduation and/or college enrollment.
Digital Storm will evaluate the essay and the winner is at the sole discretion of the scholarship judges.
Only one essay may be submitted per student, any multiple attempts will result in immediate disqualification.
Plagiarism is prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
