I just received my Aventum 3 and I am attempting to add an additional Samsung SSD. I slid it in the prewired port but it does not appear anywhere including in Disk Management. I thought these are supposed to be plug and play. I know I need to format the drive but it does not appear in Disk Management or in Task Manager. Is there something else that needs to be done on the Aventums?

Assumimg you tried rebooting, my guess is the prewired port isn't or the drive isn't seated correctly. Some prewired ports take some jockeying to get the connection.

I figured it out. I tried two different bays and neither worked so I tried a third one and it worked. I think the two I selected may not be live due to my MB limitations. I only have 6 SATA ports.
