Advice for new motherboard?

Hi everyone, I recently installed a gtx 690 onto a P8P67 LE MOBO. The problem I have with this set up is that the card runs one gpu at 3.0@16 and another gpu at 3.0@4 even though the 690 is on a single pcie 2.0x16 slot. This mobo is also poor for overclocking so I feel I need to get a new mobo for the best experience possible. My specs:
Mobo-P8P67 LE
CPU- i7 2600k @3.4ghz (turbo boost @3.9ghz)
GPU- gtx 690
RAM- 4x4gb Corsair XMS DDR3 1600mhz
PSU-HX 850
HDD-1 TB HITACHI 7200RPM

Now I've read that if want to transfer over everything to a new mobo I would have to do a clean install. Is this true? If it is then can you recommend a good ssd along with a good motherboard. Thank You!

Hi ggface014.......    I haven't swapped a mobo in years so I could be wrong, but I think a mobo swap does not require a re-install of Win7.  I would do the swap and then boot and wait for windows to tell you what's what.  You might have to boot with the Win 7 disc in HDD and hit Repair option.   It also might ask for the Product Key to re-license with such a hardware change.  It also might take a few minutes while it hunts for new drivers.
 
A good mobo is the Z77 Deluxe and Z77 Sabertooth, both allowing decent oc'ing.   Plus your gtx690 will run at x8x8 lanes I believe at pcie 2.0. which is good.  To run at true 3.0 then all three , the graphic card, mobo and the cpu, have to be 3.0 compliant.  The 2600 I don't believe is.  To run at x16x16 then you'd have to spend more for a Z77 WS or FTW mobo that has the seperate PLX chip that ups the total lanes, but there is only a small if any difference in performance.
 
The Z77 mobo's are 1155 socket just like your i7-2600 so no problem there.

On Windows 7 you should do just fine swapping out the MOBO, you'll likely do ok with Vista as well (if that applies), but you might have few driver issues with Vista. 7 should be fine though, its done the swap just fine in my own personal experience. I'd also second bpratt22's suggestion of either the Deluxe or Sabertooth. I've had good results with the Sabertooth line in the past, but whichever will be good for your situation.

Thanks alot guys but I've decided to use the money I've would've used on a new mobo on a ssd. I think the bandwidth I mentioned might be a error with gpu-z since hwinfo 64 reports both @16. Buying a new mobo for $200+ for a slight performance increase just isn't as good as the performance increase from an ssd.
