Hello everyone,

I recently bought a Banshee SLI 2X GEFORCE GTX 1080
+ 4K G-SYNC DISPLAY (bought it in Oct0ber 2016) and so far I am happy with it.

But over the past 3-4 days I think Ive noticed that the fan on the right side is not working properly. I first noticed it was quieter and that the right side of the computer was hotter than the left side. However, when i set the fans to maximum they both go full force.

I am not sure what fan this is - the computers or one the 2 graphics cards.

I have contacted DS and will hopefully talk to them today.

Is this normal? or am i screwed? I paid a ton of money for it and i live in far off land, far away from North America! So its hard for me to come back to Canada to deal with this issue.

Any advice? is this problem expected and/or experienced by others? Is it going to be complicated or a simple fix? Will this heat issue ruin the comp and/or other hardware parts such as the graphic cards?

The most heavy duty games i play are the Total War series. are they too demanding? i dont set the video options to too high of a setting but they are still on the high end. Please let me know what to do.

I hope to hear from you guys and i really hope its not a big deal and i thank you all in advance.

Yours respectfully,

Abbazabba

Normally with sli laptops the cpu exits the heat on one side, usually the left rear and the gpu's exit the heat in the middle and right rear.  One gpu fan is probably staying off if both graphics cards aren't being used, like a lower stress application.

Wait for DS to confirm or correct this since every laptop is different.

Let us know.  Big%20Smile.
