Hello,

I have been having a problem for awhile where I get CPU Fan Error on boot. I have to enter bios and exit without saving to boot up the computer. Here are some screenshots. I am also bluescreening every so often which never used to happen.

The computer is a pretty maxed out Hailstorm II.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

My guess is that your bios settings changed. Go into bios and either load the proper profile then save and exit or in bios look for where you can disable cpu fan alert if you have hydrlux water cooling.

Do you still have your cpu overclock? If not then the bios did go back to default. If the overclock is still there when you check it under load then the cpu fan header is looking for a fan pluggedinto it that water cooling setups dont use. Then disable it.

Hope this helps.

I reset bios to default. Still getting the cpu fan error. Can't seem to find in there where I can disable that.

Resetting bios to default is why it's CPU fan faulting out. Do you the CPU water cooled?   If so, reload the water cooling profile you posted in the bios screen.   DS will have set the CPU fan to disable because nothing is plugged into it on the mobo.

The CPU fan disable or similar wording might be under the Monitor tab.   I'm not familiar with that Bios interface so just guessing.

CPU fan Ignore under the Monitor tab might be what you're looking for.
