Just installed Eset Smart Security 9 today, and I must say this a great Anti-Virus, Security software. Thanks for the above, it helped me set mine up.

@RocknRollOutlaw, My pleasure here are a few more tips:

AT first you will get some prompts from the firewall in interactive mode for some of your stuff the ones you recognize make sure to click the box to remember the rule and then click allow This way you won't be bothered with that prompt anymore:

Here is a explanation for the firewall modes:

The Anti Virus will also prompt you if there are any changes that happens to the system files, like when you do windows update, if you get that prompt during windows update be sure to click the box to remember the rule and then click allow:

Had no issues with that as mine was automatically set on "Automatic Mode" But others may find this extremely useful.

Very good but the anti virus will still prompt you if there is changes made to windows for example "Malicious Software Removal Tool" update will get you that prompt the first time.

its a very nice lite av isn't it.

Good luck Boss

Oh ok... I'll remember what to do from now on. So far this has been a fantastic AV and I've used them all. In fact I grabbed this from reading your old posts on Eset. I got the paid version and so far it exceeds all others.

The trial version is the same as the paid, of course that only lasts for 30 days.

Its a great app, I used to use it back in the day when it was nod32 the anti virus.

You gonna love it IMHO

Once you have taken it for a ride and are sure your settings are fine then save your settings so that if you have to reinstall eset for some reason you can just have all the settings back by importing your settings file:

For Import you follow the above guide but at step 3 follow below:

I use both of those also, between those 2 you are covered but I use the freeware version of malwarebytes, and update it manually but nothing wrong with the paid version
