Topic: Help... GPU Posted: 07 Aug 2015 at 6:15pm |
Ok so my gpu just went bad.i got sod and reinstalled windows. And every time I install drivers from CD for my gpu, crash and won't go back to desk top. Monitor is plugged into video card.
So, I have a 570. Do i get 760 or 960? Are both of these an upgrade from my 570? All I play is Total War series and Sim city |

Hi Joel.... The 760 and 960 are very close in performance and are both about 50% better in gaming. The 760 is probably cheaper but the 960 is a newer card. I'd get the newer card with added features. .
The crashing with your 570...... I would go into Device Manager,, find your gtx 570, right click, Uninstall and then reboot and let Windows find a driver for it. You might see a blank screen, etc at first but just let it finish. If it works then try a different driver than what you have from GeForce.com. . Drivers can cause all kinds of issues. Hope this helps and good luck. |
