Budget: about $3500
I wanted to know if this labtop build was good for gaming:
Chassis Model: Digital Storm x17 Laptop (Model: 8170)
Display: 17.3 Inch (16:9) (Resolution: 1920 x 1080) (Glossy Surface) LED-Backlit Display
Processor: Intel Core i7 2860QM (2.5 GHz Turbo Mode to 3.6Ghz) (Quad Core) (8MB Cache)
Thermal Compound: Premium IC Diamond CPU and GPU Thermal Compound (Reduces Thermal & Laptop Noise)
Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
Primary Hard Drive: Intel 80GB SSD (320 Series) (SATA 3Gb/s)
Secondary Hard Drive: 500GB 7200RPM (SATA 3Gb/s)
Optical Drive: Blu-Ray Player (Blu-Ray 6x) & DVD/CD Writer
Wireless Card: Intel Ultimate-N 6300 Wireless LAN Module
Video Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 2GB
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit Edition)
Warranty Plan: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 5 Year Limited Warranty
I know I could get a DS desktop but since I move around a lot I wanted a great gaming labtop first that can easily max out games like Starcraft 2 and Battlefield 3 at 60 or higher FPS.
