what is the difference between the hydro pro and lite, other than water compactly, looks, and price. Is there a performance difference. I recently put a build in for the hydro lite for cpu and to cool my Titan x, hoping I did not make mistake on going with cheaper LC

Difference is performance and maintenance and yes price, if you remember when we configed your system we were bound by the budget which if we went with hydro pro would have been a big difference and way out of the budget.

hydro lite is a hybrid cooler between closed system and open loop.

hydro pro is an open loop system, open loop system always has better performance as long as you have good blocks and etc on it.

in this case are you going to get the performance of hydro pro? No

Did you make a mistake going with hydro lite? No, your temps are still gonna be good, they are just not gonna be as good as hydro pro.

Not sure why you went with titan for tho I though we agreed on 1080 gtx which would have been much better with hydro lite.

Went with the titan because I want the computer to eventually be able to handle 4K on a single GPU Over clocked, once a legit monitor is out Not a big fan of SLI

I also did it for longevity of the system, Titan X is a pretty solid GPU and I won't have to swap it out for another for some time. I had DS do their overclock on the Titan which I am assuming is pretty mild. But I'm in a bind in terms of monitor the right 4K monitor won't be out for at least 3months or more, but Idk if I should wait for that or get a monitor like the predator or asus ROG which has a big curved screen for more of a cinematic feel. I hope a curved 4K 144hz

Never think getting the best gpu now is future proof, just look at last year's titan, it gets beat by the 1080 and now the 1080 is not enough for high res and you need sli 1080 or current titan, so next year your titan will be beat by the 1180 gtx if you will and the 1180 gtx will not be enough to run the high res next year either.

moral of the story is one is better off just getting what they need and then upgrading in 2 years vs getting a gpu now so that its good enough for the next 4 years or so, it won't be.

But you want 4k 144Hz so titan is what you need, and ya wait for 4k ips 144hz monitor, you will be glad you did.

True, but I'll get 3 years out of this bad boy maybe less.. So this will be my first liquid cooling system.. Not worried about maintenance or anything like that as I am pretty mechanical. Have built my own Pc in past and have build RC cars from ground up ect... But im assuming there is any easy way to switch the water out of the loop that does not involve tipping the pic on its side. Lol I know the the pro system is a bit easier for maintaining

For the lite you would need to unscrew it form the pc and then turn it upside down so the fill port is downwards and then open the fill port and it should drain.

But you should not be needing to do that for this one.

As for gpu assuming one does not go to 4k and stays at 1440p for the next 2 years, then the best thing to do is go 1080 and then upgrade to the future titan. But as we discussed already you are going 4k so you have a need for the titan and ya a good 3 years sounds good, you will know when the time comes

LOL I'm getting confused both of you are asking me a question, Ras I know which you are talking about but Geo I'm not sure.

for your system Ras, your hydrolux lite is really swiftech h220x2, so if you want to know anything about it outside of what I went over with you, you can just check it out there. But you should not need to do much maintenance on it. What DS has done is add gpu waterblock to the h220x which is designed to be able to do things like that.
