There have been several posts like this before and I really have nothing new to add but these are really exciting times for me!
I ordered the Vanquish 7 Level 4...went to stage 1 on July 2nd and shipped on July 16th. I've been having fun with it for a week now and have a message for anyone on the fence about ordering one of these or doing business with DS in general... DO IT !!! The Vanquish line may be the "low end" offering from DS but I now own one beast of a machine that will kick butt in all my favorite games for many years to come. (iRacing, Killing Floor 2, Battlefield 1, GTA V, APB Reloaded...plus anything new over the next five years at least!) I'm also a photographer and 36 megapixel RAW files are no longer a pain to load, edit, and save! I built my own PC in 2009 and it had pretty much become obsolete. I'm comfortable with building my own but the Vanquish line is such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. The stress I didn't have to endure from ordering parts and assembling, the peace of mind from knowing this machine was put through the ringer by DS before it ever shipped, and the warranty that comes with it are far worth the $1,799 price tag. I feel like I have about the best air cooled build possible. Sure there are things I'd like to have upgraded but there has to be a stopping point price wise. I've gone from a stock Q9550 and GTX 660 (upgraded from a 260 in 2013) to an i7-8700 and GTX 1080. Needless to say I'm grinning from ear to ear performance wise. I can finally take full advantage of my 144hz monitor as my framerates have quadrupled. I find myself staring at the framerate counter in awe. I see the latest update to the Level 4 now includes an 8700k for $50 more but I would probably have been too afraid to try overclocking anyways! I'm blown away by the professional look of this build and will recommend DS to everyone I can. I was told by so many people that a prebuilt that can't be configured was a big mistake. I call BS! I feel like I got the perfect machine for ME. My next task is to add my old SSD. I hope I don't ruin the beautiful cable management. Hahaha Thanks Digital Storm, you exceeded my expectations.
