So I have to admit I know very little technically about what the differences in specifications actually mean to performance for almost anything related to displays. My experience in recent years has basically been plug and play and hope for the best, which has been enough to have great fun since I bought my ODE V3 last year. But now since I just sold a house and got a windfall of cash, I want to get serious with my home made flight sim. I'm planning on working to get the three-monitor setup I've been wanting since I bought this machine, and my new house has a workshop which means I will have the space to build a good structure to make this a reality. So - looking for insight.

I play MS Flight Sim FSX acceleration basically exclusively on my machine. I plan to upgrade to Prepar3d next year. I fly on Boston Virtual ATC. And I am wondering how I go about setting up 3 screens, one center, one left, on right with my present machine.

What cords do i need ?

Will The TVs i'm thinking of buying work ? it looks like somehow i would need to end up with 3 HDMI ends on the TV side, yet I don't see 3 HDMI outputs on my computer...

Link and background info on my computer below. THANK YOU!

Hey M303803...

Moved your questions to your own thread so they won't get buried. Besides, there's a regular or two here that just love their flight sims and want them to get a chance to get you going in the right direction...

The TVs you listed are 1366x768 resolution. Unless you're going for just the 32" size I would rather get 24/27" monitors at 1920x1080p.   Much better colors and resolution.

Your single 780 will drive the 3 TVs or monitors but performance will suffer as you add the extra screens. More work for the video card.

For connections, you'd need to get adapters like an HDMI to DVI or HDMI to Displyport.

Hope this helps.

you've got: 1xdual link DVI-I, 1xdual link DVI-D, 1xHDMI and 1xDP connections on your vid card.  you would need: 2xdual link DVI>HDMI, 1xDP>HDMI and 1xHDMI>HDMI adapters if connecting 4 monitors/tv's.
