Sitting here thinking I need to start a new game. And while the ice melts in my 4th or 7th adult beverage, I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to need suggestions.

The Shadow of Morder, Skyrim, All FallOuts, Witcher 3, Mad Max type of game to immerse myself into. FPS are not my scene... (I really wanted to just LOVE BattleField 1, I just couldn't get into it). Top down or turn based games are not it either.

Of course I still like the quick hits like World of Tanks, Armored Warfare, Rocket League, etc which are fine for a "quickie" game session.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you want total mayhem and action that just draws you in, try the new Doom. I'm inching my way through it now.

I'm waiting for Civilization 6 next month. I love those games.

Haven't played the new Deus Ex but they were all good.   The new one has mixed reviews.

Have you tried any of the Assassin's Creed series? I found that I enjoyed them in similar fashion as The Witcher and Mad Max.

@Democles ... Path of Exile held my attention for about 68 hours or so, if Steam is to be believed. Just really tried to get into it and... well.. didn't. But I gave it a good chance.

Oh and if you have even a remote interest in the Batman universe the Arkham games are basically Shadow of Mordor except Batman, LOL

I am confused. Isn't Doom a FPS game? Snaike states: "FPS are not my scene..." I haven't seen Doom so don't know if it is a good choice or not for Snaike.

I thought the newest Doom captured the speed of the original quite well. I remember original Doom LAN parties in 93 and it was basically just like high speed pong with death and gibs. LOL

Yea.. No to Doom for now. Trying to stay away from frenetic FPS and that is the very definition of "Frenetic"... lol..

@Tidxgor.. great call on the Batman games. Thanks for the reminder.

Right now I'm thinking about the Sniper Elite series. Might have to give 3 a run through before 4 is released.

Not to discourage Batman Arkham Knight, but its one of the few games I disliked. Just couldn't get into it.   Just me, however.   

Sniper Elite 3 was real good.   Gotta love being a sniper.

The various Civ games are (IMO) very good. Every time you start one it is a different play. Even when finished you can continue and go for world peace (all under one).Big%20Smile Also do a lot of Starcraft. Still stuck in some room somewhere in Doom.Frustrated

Played the first Civilization... wow, about a hundred years ago in gaming terms... somewhere mid 90s. Wasn't a fan. The AI was so predictable and it was just a time-sink.

I'm guessing that they fixed that if they are up to the 6th edition.
